Selection Criteria

Candidates for registration in the MICROBIOLOGY Master´s programme will be admitted if they are: i) holders of a degree of “licenciado” or equivalent in the areas of Life and Health Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering if including a biological component, and related fields; ii) holders of a degree obtained after a first cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna process, in one of the countries complied to this process, in the fields referred in i), or that is recognized as fulfilling the objectives of the degree of “licenciado” by the Programme Coordinator. Admission and seriation will be carried out, in general, according to the rules defined in the 2nd cycle admission regulation of IST (DR 2ª Série, nº 59, de 24 de Março de 2011), having in due consideration the specificities of this joint degree and Coordinator/Scientific Committee inputs.
